OneConfig has released Version 1.5 of their management solution for Juniper Networks devices. In addition to several performance enhancing improvements and minor bug fixes, this new release includes a major new feature – Performance Graphs.
Performance Graphs give OneConfig users the ability to view their devices’ performance using a browser from wherever they are without the need to VPN into their network or login to a separate management platform.
OneConfig displays various performance information including: interface metrics; system metrics (CPU, temperature, etc.); and security session metrics. Metrics are shown in near real-time and can be viewed for the last hour, the last day, the last week or the last month.
“With the release of Version 1.5 we wanted to extend our capability for managing Juniper EX and SRX Series devices beyond making error-free configuration changes. By adding performance graphs we are giving users a simple way to view device performance. This allows them to easily assess devices for potential capacity constraints, and view load, traffic and session trends.” said Andrew Hill, OneConfig’s Co-founder and Director. “This new feature further enhances our capability to provide IT generalists with a simple way to manage and troubleshoot Juniper devices without having to learn Junos.”
