OneConfig, the cloud-based management platform for Juniper devices, today released Version 1.7 of their product. This new version includes a number of minor updates and improvements, plus one major new feature - VLAN Management.
Like all OneConfig features, VLAN Management has been designed to be intuitively easy to use so that all engineers, regardless of their level of knowledge or experience with Junos, can now manage a Juniper environment.
OneConfig's simple interface abstracts the user from the underlying operating system and makes VLAN Management as intuitive as possible. The feature allows users to access their devices via a browser then perform one of the following functions:
view existing VLANs on Juniper EX and SRX Series devices
create new VLANs using a simple single-step window
easily edit existing VLANs, and
delete VLANs safely
The screenshots below demonstrate the simplicity of the new features and how they are accessed via the ‘Action’ menu.
OneConfig is focused on providing Managed Service Providers (MSP) with an effective tool for managing large fleets of Juniper customer premise equipment (CPE) across multiple customer networks. Adding VLAN Management extends the functionality of the multi-tenanted web-based platform for OneConfig’s existing base of MSP customers.
“VLAN Management is a corner-stone feature that many users have asked for and we are excited to release it to our customers. Our Development team has expanded recently and we have several new features scheduled for release in the New Year.” said Andrew Hill, OneConfig’s Co-founder and Director. “We are expecting big things for OneConfig in 2015.”
