The OneConfig system has a number of user role types that allow you to define the actions that a user can perform in the system.

 

Read-only ROLE

  • Read-only access to view interfaces/security related configuration details
  • View interfaces troubleshooting information (e.g. arp/lldp/ethernet switch table)
  • View graphs
  • View and create ANR reports

User role

  • Read-and-write access to interfaces/security related configuration
  • View interfaces troubleshooting information (e.g. arp/lldp/ethernet switch table)
  • View graphs
  • View and create ANR reports
  • Set/update device rescue configuration and auto recovery 

Administrator role

  • Read-and-write access to interfaces/security related configuration
  • View interfaces troubleshooting information (e.g. arp/lldp/ethernet switch table)
  • View graphs
  • View and create ANR reports
  • Set / update device rescue configuration and auto recovery
  • Create/edit user accounts
  • Create/edit devices
  • Create/edit managed service provider tenant companies (for MSP use case only)
  • Manage devices for tenant companies (for MSP use case only)

Read-only user-admin role (MSP use case only)

  • As per read-only user role 
  • Create/edit users
